KyFoam Insulation Company
In the application of the foam I will give you a very close estimate of the cost. The actual usage may be slightly more or less than the actual estimate due to a number of factors. One of them being temperature on the day of application. The colder the ambient temperature, a slight reduction in the amount of foam produced, or actually a slight increase in the amount of product for the same end result occurs.

However the greatest factor is usually the customer. When seeing the foam “in action”, the customer usually wishes to have extra foam here or there. If you only had two inches of foam applied, the result would rival six inches of either fiberglass batt or cellulose@ We apply and AVERAGE of 2.5 inches in walls. Average R-value, 19+. The efficiency of the foam is 94 percent!

“Clicks” are the actual usage based on the indicator in the spray vehicle. This is the guide by which you will be charged any overages. Our estimates are usually very close, and unless an extreme overage is encountered you should have not further charges.

I mention the average, because due to the nature of the surface of the foam, it may vary from one and one-half to three-and-one-half inches. The average will be at least 2.5 inches. The minimum will seldom be less than 2 inches. Just know that you are getting a 93+ percent solution.

We tend to apply the foam thicker than some others. I reduced MY BUDGET payment for natural gas from $480/mo to $216/mo. This was in an old house built in 1907 with 7,200 sq. ft. The foam is polyurethane foam. It is a closed-cell rather than open-cell foam. Please see the technical specifications regarding the product. Also please be sure to read the “R Fairy Tale”.

Be assured that we will treat your home as if it were ours!
